WineSeq is an innovative technology to achieve a sustainable control of grapevine trunk diseases as Alberto Acedo explains today for the project COST Action no. FA1303 Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Today, we are at the meeting from the COST Action FA1303 project, "Sustainable Control of Grapevine Trunk Diseases". The Meeting is celebrated at Biotechnical Faculty, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, today 23rd and 24th February.
Grapevine trunk diseases are the most destructive diseases of vineyards. There are no highly effective treatments available to control this kind of diseases. It is a must to develop sustainable alternatives and coordinate strategies for innovative disease management.
As manaGTD explains: "The goal of this Action would be to develop a network of European expertise to improve understanding of grapevine trunk diseases by acquiring knowledge on occurrence of pathogens, vine-pathogen interaction, ecology of wood-inhabiting microorganisms, and to develop new management protocols and biocontrol approaches."
Alberto Acedo, CO-Founder of Biome Makers, talks about Microbial Ecology and WineSeq as a vine helth microbiome diagnostic tool. Thanks to the WineSeq Community, the largest global community for Wine Microbiology, you can better know all the microorganisms related to winemaking processes.
